A gentle Bible meditation inviting children and families to pause, reflect on Jesus’ words, and walk closely with Him.
A Still Moment — Only One Life Story
Sometimes the Bible invites us to slow down and notice quiet moments that change everything. In today’s Still Moment, we walk beside Jesus to a dusty well in Samaria, where a tired heart discovers something deeper than water — the gift of living water that never runs dry.

Bible Story Meditation
Scripture Focus — John 4:14 (KJV)
“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst;
but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
Entering the Still Moment
Take a slow breath in.
And gently let it out.
Imagine walking down a dusty road with Jesus under the warm midday sun. Ahead, a quiet well waits at the edge of a small village.
A woman approaches the well with her jar. She expects an ordinary moment — drawing water as she has done many times before.
But Jesus is sitting there.
And today, something extraordinary is about to happen.
Meditation Reflection
When Jesus speaks to the woman at the well, He does not only talk about water.
He speaks about something deeper.
Everyone knows what thirst feels like. After running, playing, or working in the heat, the body needs water again and again.
But the heart can feel thirsty too.
Sometimes we try to fill that emptiness with attention, success, or things that do not last. Yet Jesus offers something different — living water, a joy and peace that comes from knowing God.
When His love fills a heart, it does not stay still. It becomes like a spring flowing from within, bringing hope, peace, and new life.
That is the promise Jesus gave beside that well.
And that promise is still true today.
Where might Jesus be inviting you to come and drink from His living water today?
