The Light in My Room | John 8:12 | Walking with Jesus — Volume 1: Saved & Loved
A gentle Bible meditation inviting children and families to pause, reflect on Jesus’ words, and walk closely with Him.
A Still Moment — Only One Life Story
Nighttime can feel very quiet. Sometimes the shadows grow long and the world seems far away. In this Still Moment, we remember Jesus’ beautiful promise that His light shines even in the darkest places, and that those who follow Him never walk alone.

Bible Story Meditation
Scripture Focus — John 8:12 (KJV)
“I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
Entering the Still Moment
Take a slow breath in.
And gently let it out.
Imagine a quiet room at night. The house is still, and the busy sounds of the day have faded away.
A small light glows softly.
In the quiet of the moment, remember Jesus’ words: “I am the light of the world.”
His presence is gentle and calm, like a warm light that fills a room and pushes away the darkness.
And that light is never far away.
Meditation Reflection
Sometimes darkness can feel a little frightening. When the room grows quiet and the lights go out, our thoughts may wander and our hearts may feel uneasy.
But Jesus made a promise that changes everything.
He said that those who follow Him will not walk in darkness, because His light lives within them.
The same God who placed the stars in the sky watches over every child through the night. His presence stays near even when everything else grows still.
When fear tries to whisper, we can remember a simple truth:
Jesus is our light.
And His light is stronger than any darkness.
How might remembering Jesus’ light bring peace to your heart tonight?
