The Storm and the Hand | Matthew 14:30–31 | Walking with Jesus — Volume 1: Saved & Loved
A gentle Bible meditation inviting children and families to pause, reflect on Jesus’ words, and walk closely with Him.
A Still Moment — Only One Life Story
This Still Moment invites children and families to reflect on the moment Peter began to sink in the storm and cried out to Jesus in Matthew 14:30–31.
Through quiet reflection and guided imagery, young hearts are gently reminded that even when fear rises and faith feels small, Jesus is near — ready to reach out His hand and lift us up.

Entering the Still Moment
Welcome to Still Moments: Bible Verse Meditation —
a quiet place to pause, breathe, and step inside God’s living Word.
Here we do not simply read the Bible.
We walk where Jesus walks.
We listen as He speaks.
We let His love draw near.
This journey continues in Walking with Jesus — Volume 1: Saved & Loved,
a collection of still moments that follow His footsteps through stories of grace, faith, and friendship.
Take a soft breath in … and let it go slowly.
Let your thoughts grow quiet.
Let your heart become still.
Now enter this Still Moment —
and watch what happens when the storm grows strong
and the hand of Jesus reaches through the waves.
Meditation Reflection
Peter stepped out of the boat.
For a moment, he walked on the water.
But when the wind grew loud and the waves rose high, fear filled his heart.
He began to sink.
Yet even in that moment, Peter did something simple and honest.
He cried out:
“Lord, save me.”
And Jesus did not hesitate.
The Bible says immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him.
Sometimes faith feels strong.
Sometimes fear feels stronger.
But this Still Moment reminds us of something beautiful:
When we call to Jesus,
His hand is never far away.
Where might you need to trust His hand today?
