Scripture Focus — Mark 1:41 (KJV)
“Then Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth His hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.”
Entering the Still Moment
Take a slow breath in.
And gently let it out.
Imagine walking along a dusty road through rocky hills. The sun shines warmly, and people gather around Jesus, listening to His words.
Suddenly the crowd grows quiet.
A man stands nearby, alone.
People whisper and step back, afraid to come close.
But Jesus does not step away.
He steps forward.
Meditation Reflection
The man in this story had lived for years without anyone touching him. Because of his illness, people avoided him and kept their distance.
But Jesus saw more than sickness.
He saw a heart that needed compassion.
Moved by love, Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man — something no one else dared to do.
In that moment, healing came.
Not only to the man’s body, but also to his heart.
This story reminds us that Jesus notices people others might overlook. His love moves toward those who feel lonely, forgotten, or hurting.
And His compassion has not changed.
He still reaches out with kindness and care today.
