“Did not our heart burn within us, while He talked with us by the way, and while He opened to us the scriptures?”
Entering the Still Moment
Take a slow breath in.
And gently let it out.
Imagine walking along a quiet road in the soft light of day. The path stretches ahead, winding through hills and open fields.
Two travelers walk together, their voices low, their hearts heavy.
They are speaking about Jesus — about everything that has happened.
And without realizing it…
Jesus is walking beside them.
Meditation Reflection
As the travelers walk, a stranger joins them and begins to speak. He listens to their sadness, then gently opens the Scriptures, helping them understand what had truly happened.
Something begins to change inside them.
Not all at once.
But slowly… quietly…
Their hearts begin to burn.
Later, when they finally recognize that it was Jesus who had been walking with them, they say:
“Did not our hearts burn within us while He talked with us along the way?”
This reminds us of something very important.
Even when we don’t realize it, Jesus is near.
When we read His Word…
When we pause to listen…
When truth begins to make sense…
That quiet warmth in our hearts is not случайный.
It is His presence.
